admitting he lied to the fbi. brooks worked for vincent gray's campaign and admitted he helped pay sulaimon brown to stay in the race so brown could verbally attack then mayor adrian fenty. the judge said she'd consider brooks' past and the help he has given to others over the years. she also took into consideration the help brooks has provided to the fbi as they continue to investigate the gray campaign. that is one reason she did not sentence brooks to jail time. mayor gray has said many times in the past that he did not participate in the illegal activity to pay sulaimon brown. still the u.s. attorney's office continues to investigate his campaign. in the district matt ackland, fox 5 news. >>> president obama says he was just too polite in the debate with mitt romney last week. the president made his lengthiest comments so far on the performance in an interview with abc. he said it gets repetitive to keep saying romney's claims aren't true. he compared it to winning two games and losing the third in a seven-game series, but he promised he'd see more action in the debate next week. pops s
